The Pet Hospital of Madison handles emergencies during our regular hospital hours and examines patients without delay. If your pet is in need of emergency care, please call us at (256) 232-2289 right away.
Symptoms of Pet Emergencies
If you witness any of these symptoms in your pet, we recommend you contact us immediately:
- Labored breathing
- Pale, white, or blue gums
- Imbalance, circling, or dizziness
- Loss of consciousness or collapsing
- Inability to walk
- Seizures
- Extremely bloated abdomen
- Crying out in pain or other signs of acute pain
- Temperature under 99 degrees or over 104—normal temperature in pets is between 100.5 and 102.5 degrees.
